Just 14 days had passed for Boulder resident and Canadian athlete Kirsty Jahn since she celebrated her first ever Ironman win as a professional, a tour through Florianopolis, Brazil that offers a fast and scenic course.

It's a hometown race for many of the sport's premier athletes, making Ironman Boulder a popular stop on the pro circuit in North America. Canadian Kirsty Jahn, who lives in Boulder, used a stellar bike/ run combination to take the women's race, while another Colorado-based athlete, Chris Leiferman (USA), took the men's race.
